How Un-Fortune-ate

Homecoming

We finished all of our tasks Sunday like wash both vehicles, go to Costco, the grocery store, put the red rug out and fix a lamp just in time to scamper off to Shelter Island to catch the Star of India returning home just before sunset.

Star of India Sails

The Star of India, the oldest iron hull sailing ship, turns 150 years old on 11/14/2013 so she is being let out to sail this weekend. We went up to the top of Point Loma to watch and take pictures. We had fun.

We decided to try a recently renovated restaurant in town, Tom Hams. It is located at the tip end of one of the man made islands in the bay.

Ten Years Later

Fast forward ten years and this is what you get. A 1964 Stingray with a 427 cid V8 with a 4 speed transmission. My insurance can't afford it.

Auto Museum New Show

A new show opened at the auto museum. We have Corvettes. This one is a 1954 and is really nice.

How To View Washington

Rain Test

A few years ago the condo association paid a company to smear on slurry on the asphalt. They over-smeared in front of our garage door and made the outside almost two inches higher than the concrete garage floor. We got wet. Last week a new company came along replaced the asphalt. Tonight we are supposed to get one inch of rain. The outside appears lower or at least level with the inside. May the force be with us.

We just had to get away from the house and out into the world today. We went a maybe 15 miles north and visited Torrey Pines State Park. Cameras in hand, of course.
